ESI seeks a creative ME with 3-D design experience to supplement our long term staff of professionals as we continue to grow and expand our markets. The Mechanical Engineer is involved with all phases of the design, specification, production, certification, performance, use and servicing of ESI Electron Beam (EB) systems. We seek an individual with ability to independently complete custom capital equipment design and internal development projects. He/she shall provide technical expertise for ESI products and provide direct support for production/manufacturing and indirect support to sales, service and purchasing. Our continued growth in both market penetration and new development requires expanding our already strong engineering department.
Qualifications and Requirements • BS Mechanical Engineering
• 3 plus years mechanical design
• 3 plus years 3D solid modeling, ProEngineer/Windchill required
• Direct experience designing: Vacuum chambers and components for use in vacuum and/or High Voltage environments (300 kV), pressure vessels, fluid delivery systems, large scale weldments, web handling systems.
• EB, converting product design, FEA (COSMOS) and CFD (Autodesk Simulation CFD, CFDesign) experience a plus
• Must be authorized to work in U.S.
Essential Job Functions:
• Conceptualize, manage, execute and document EB equipment design from concept to completion.
• Create, modify parts or large scale assemblies using ProEngineer
• Create detailed drawings using ProEngineer for the manufacture of assemblies and components
• Evaluate vendor components, develop specifications, analyze/select materials and verify design accuracy.
• Document testing and manufacturing procedures, Create test reports. Review system manufals and compile test data.
