Seeking PLC Programmer/Software Engineer to design PLC software which controls ESI’s industrial processing equipment technology. Successful candidates will plan, develop and execute program design projects and provide cost estimates pertaining to these projects. All PLC must be documented following ESI’s documentation control procedures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO-9001 directives and quality procedures established by ESI.
Responsibilities: • Develop overall PLC control logic for application and system software.
• Maintain and upgrade existing software for current/future ESI industrial equipment.
• Create documentation for new and existing software packages.
• Provide technical leadership relating to computer hardware and software.
• Provide customer support in diagnosing malfunctions with equipment or upgrade installations.
• Plan, organize and complete engineering documentation releases.
• Help rectify any functional or operational discrepancies with systems or subsystems.
• Assist Materials and Manufacturing departments, as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EB processors and related technology, vacuum system principles and standard design practices.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to conceptualize and take design concepts to completion.
• Actively look for new ways to yield improved efficiencies and reduced expenses.
Successful candidates should possess:
• BS in EE or SE within proven knowledge and experience.
• 6-10 years process control experience.
• Working knowledge of:
• Programming languages such as Assembly, C, BASIC, Ladder logic, Statement list, Function block diagrams.
• Core systems are Siemens and Allen Bradley based.
• PLC programming software: RSLogix, STep 7, PROFIBUS
• HMI programming software: PanelBuilder, RSView32, WinCC, Elipse SCADA
• Knowledge of multitasking operating systems like UNIX or OS-9
• Ability to communicate effectively. Extremely detail oriented and self-motivated. Must be capable of managing a project from start to finish.
