ESI has a need for a Sr. electrical engineer with a BSEE and 6 - 10 years of related experiences to be based in our Wilmington, MA headquarters. This contributor will become a key member of a team that designs and develops elctron beam accelerators.
Requirements
General Duties
Design, develop and document Printed Circuit Board control theory and loop compensation platforms for use within our High Voltage Electron Beam acceleration equipment. Controls and feedback are all highly integrated technologies requiring significant inter-departmental cooperation, integration and knowledge.
Required Skills: Analog/Digital/Interface Design: > Op-Amps, active and passive filter, A/Ds, D/As, power amplifiers, power supplies, (both linear and switching), PLC interfacing experience helpful. Microporcessor Design: > Microchip 8-bit processors (16F family). Assembly and/or C language Documentation:
> Schematic entry, BOM generation, Assembly Drawings, ECNs, and test procedures.
> PCB layout or at least oversight of outsourced layout in regard to ground planes and signal levels and ground loops Component Selection:
> Replacement and new selection in red to power, voltage and availability. Troubleshooting/Repair
> Ability to competently use meters and oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
> System and PCB board level diagnostics and repair
> EMI/RFI detection and elimination experience.
> Knowledge of SCR's, IGBT's and power MOSFETS a plus.
