The flexible packaging industry being referred to in the study defines itself as, "The process of manufacturing flexible packaging materials utilizes any or all of the following: laminating or co-extrusion to combine materials, coating of films and paper, and/or printing. Generally taking the shape of a bag, pouch, liner, or overwrap, etc., flexible packaging is defined as any package or any part of a package whose shape can be readily changed.”

These findings aren't much of a surprise to many in the field because the fast and steady growth of flexible packaging has been hard to miss, now it just has a metric associated with it.

With flexible packaging continuing to increase in popularity, the question many printers and manufacturers have to ask themselves is if they have the best technology and applications to meet the growing need? Using eBeam inks and electron beam (EB) curing technology will allow you to print better images faster, and in a more eco-friendly manner.
